The start:
57 Years of Family Business in Polk/Burnett County
Last year when Peter Ward launched his business idea of doing property protection for cabins, it was a natural fit. “Our family has been in the resort/cabin business in Polk/Burnett county for over 57 years”, said Peter Ward, grandson of Richard Ward, founder of Ward’s Balsam Lake Resort. A conversation with Tony Rendle, former owner of his own security services business, spawned an idea to offer clients alarm centered, technology based, security systems in addition to cabin care property protection.  Quickly it was realized that this was a winning combination.

Another opportunity to serve Area Residents: A promise to help people “Feel Safe in their Home”.
This entrepreneurial, St. Thomas MBA graduate, and co-recipient of the prestigious St. Thomas “2008 Family Enterprise Award”, saw an opportunity to serve his community in a whole new way.

The Action Plan
Rapid Response, Local Support & Service, and Affordable.
There was a gap to fill in the Security System business when PBSS was bought out by the company TransAlarm, out of Burnsville, MN.  

“People needed a company that they could count on for a quick alarm response, timely service calls, and that also offered 100% local support and professional level monitoring”.  And the guarantee?  NO (TERM) CONTRACTS. “Our philosophy is that we want to earn your business every day. Our 57 years of family business here in this county has taught us that good customer relations is one of the most important things we can do” said Peter Ward.
